Wat Sra Sri Temple in Sukhothai Historical Park hosts a sound-and-light show on February 28 recounting the history of the old Siamese capital and the royal house of Pra Ruang. Kicking off with cocktails at 5.30pm and a Mangla dance leading the audience to the stage, it should be a fascinating evening imbued with grand legends of regal splendour. Narration will be in English and Japanese. Thai classical music and banana-leaf krathongs and lanterns will set the mood for Sukhothai Night, which wraps up with fireworks.
